Liquid Baffles – Regulating Liquid Flow
As we’ve refined our products in recent years, we’ve recognised the critical role of liquid viscosity. One challenge we encountered was the fluctuation of viscosity with changing temperatures. Viscosity is akin to the thickness or “stickiness” of a liquid. In colder temperatures, liquids tend to thicken, resembling honey, while in warmer temperatures, they become thinner and flow more freely, like water. This viscosity issue isn’t exclusive to our liquids; it affects all liquids.
To overcome this challenge, we’ve introduced Liquid Baffles. Baffles are employed to manage the flow of liquids from the cylinders. If you’ve purchased our new DragonFly Systems, you’ve likely noticed the foam baffles inside. By controlling the flow, the importance of liquid viscosity diminishes, allowing for the use of thinner liquids without messy spills.
This advancement broadens your options as users. You can now utilise a wide range of liquids, even those as thin as water, as attractants. Moving forward, Liquid Baffles will be standard in all forthcoming liquid product releases and will also be available as standalone products compatible with the existing zig range.
