Nigel Cottrell recently had a fruitful social at Naseby reservoir, after catching a few fish on pva bags the sun came out and bites on the bottom dried up.
Out came his newly purchased liquid zig kit, he tied up a 2ft black and yellow zig, filled it with liquisquid zig liquid and cast out.
Nigel says “The rod was only in the water for ten minutes and it was away, funny as at first I just looked at the rod screaming off in disbelief.
After a hearty battle the fish was in the net, a banging 27lb 7oz mirror.
By the end of the 48hr session Nigel has landed eleven carp and lost two others.
