Koen used a deeper to great effect, scanning the water to assess the depth and where the weed beds were located. Fishing into the weed, a 4 and a half foot rig was enough to present his hookbait just above, clear, and in the line of passing fish. The Black Zig Aligner Cap loaded with Black foam was soon snaffled up, but unfortunately, the hook straightened resulting in a lost fish (don’t worry, we’ll soon have you covered with that one #ultimatezighook).
Not deterred, a new rig was tied and sent out to the same area. Not long after, it was away again, and this time he managed to securely land the fish… all 32lb 4oz of it!
